Sound good?
Why is the construction industry so slow at catching on to the leaps and bounds being made in media innovation?? One could argue that it is because most contractors/manufacturers/end users have something more engaging to do - carrying out impressive feats of civil engineering and associated contractual work. However, it's not the grafters at fault; it's the manufacturers who should be embracing the innovative possibilities of new media. Let's be honest, seeing an excavator at work on-site is a much truer representation than an air-brushed picture of a pristine machine in some far flung corner of the globe. I absolve erstwhile crane manufacturer Manitowoc Crane Group - its podcasts (http://www.manitowoccranegroup.com/Shows/EN/2006_Intermat_Home.asp) are an industry first. Granted it's not visual, but it's a fitting compliment to its print media efforts. The opportunities are out there. That's all I'm saying.
